    Haunted Mansion gets Interactive ending

And, while I'm at it, do any other old-timers remember from way back in the HM of the early '70's the graveyard bicycle-riders having these drawn-out piercing shrieks like related on the LP ? I feel like I'm the only one who ever heard this... along with the various screams, laughter, etc. of...

    Haunted Mansion gets Interactive ending

Okay, for some reason, this whole business about ''falling'' out to attic window to our collective deaths has really irritated me since I first heard about it some years ago. I seem to recall it was first mentioned by someone on a guided tour who had a cast-member who wasn't exactly all that...

    Maelstrom Dialogue Question

I think he's saying ''... and I know a thousand [with his heavy accent making it sound like 'tousand'] nasty things'' in response to one of his other heads saying "I cast a spell...''

    Small World figure missing?

Also he's a Leopard not a Jaguar.. And he's just probably being refurbished or something.... And now to just take this to the ''nth'' degree - I believe BrightImagine is correct - it's a jaguar. According to the ''Disney Goes to the World's Fair'' episode on ''The Wonderful World of Color''...

Is Epcot good for a science geek? Couple from California making first trip to WDW

Being a paleontology nut myself, I say he'll need to get over to Dinoland at Animal Kingdom to check out the attraction ''Dinosaur'' and it's environs (I'm probably the only person who was just as excited to walk ''Cretaceous Trail'' and view it's plants & dino sculptures) - although make sure...

Pirates of the Caribbean NEW VERSION music

Your assessment of there being a new track is correct - in fact there are several new ones in the graveyard since the makeover in 2007. For some reason it was decided to replace the original vocal tracks for the picnicking English couple, hearse ghosts, opera singers, and decapitated...

    The Haunted Mansion Caretaker's Dog.

I always assumed it was the same caretaker's dog who unlike his master managed to overcome his fear and decided to investigate further all the goings-on. Or at least the case in the DL version of the HM. There this second figure is seen/lit to look ''alive'' as we originally saw him - however...

    Haunted Mansion: Stationary Madame Leota

Just gotta say - I never said anything about the attic pop-ups, just the graveyard ones. And I visited WDW yearly throughout the 90's until 2004 and videotaped the HM without fail. No pop-up screams in graveyard on said videos. I really think it's a case of memory playing tricks here...

    Haunted Mansion: Stationary Madame Leota

I've only ever seen two owls since way back when... but now that you say that, I have this hazy recollection that at one time there actually was a 3rd owl situated farther away from the other two nearer the branch end. Don't know though if it was from a Marc Davis preliminary artwork.

    Haunted Mansion: Stationary Madame Leota

There's definitely some confusion here about the graveyard pop-ups. Actually, they haven't had *any* accompanying audio since the early 70's. When the attraction first opened (both the Disneyland and WDW versions) there was indeed a series of screams, cackles, etc. heard from them (like you...

Hidden mickey plates in HM gone

I've often wondered if management and WDI are so adamant the plates stay where they are they don't just glue the things in position...

    1970's Walt Disney World photos.

Wow - you just reminded me that I've got that set of Pirates slides as well stashed away somewhere and must have bought them around the same time as the pictorial souvenir book. Disney had a penchant back then for selling the same slides of certain attractions (I have HM and IASW ones as well)...

    1970's Walt Disney World photos.

That particular Pirates pic is from the DL version. Incidentally, way back after Pirates had just opened in the early '70's, the store at the exit to the ride sold a pictorial souvenir book of the ride featuring many photos of it as seen in DL, as well as artwork galore by Marc Davis. I still...
