Do we know this for sure? It's obviously wildly well received by those who care to critique theme park attractions, but that doesn't prove it's wildly popular. Most people don't care about Universal's classic monsters.

LC is dead space that needs replacing. They aren't replacing Marvel. Therefore it automatically makes more sense as a LC replacement.

I would be down for a Godzilla attraction, especially if it allows SF to remain SF but maybe spruced up a bit, but I'm a lot more iffy on keeping the current ride system. They should be looking at new, more daring options instead of a quick retheme of a ride they built one too many times.
