I've had virtually no luck starting new forums (& to be fair I believe that's a major reason why so many threads go off on tangents...the tangents standing on their own threads may not get enough traction?)...so I'm posting this here since it's "Boardwalk."...

One of my favorite, if not the favorite, parts of a Disney vacation as a child were the pleasant, but often relatively-small, "surprises." If there's no more chance to be surprised (unless you go literally/completely off the grid), than that's one less reason to return imo.

"Seasons" seem to be the trend for opening "dates." It's technically Spring June 20th. I can't recall anything official opening before the announced date except Wonders of Life (all the publicity I've seen says "Opening December 1989," but it officially opened October 19th).

Implicit in their various metrics on their 1987 report (disneydocs.net....based on 1986 activity), seems to be a constant evaluation of the performance of each attraction, shop, restaurant, and [even!] cart based upon a plethora of factors. Can't help but believe it's become even more complex 4...
