    What are you thinking?

That's an excellent point. One I hadn't thought about. Although, I have done the DL thing as a tourist before. I don't know if I would go so far as saying it was the only resort worth visiting, I'm still a bigger fan of WDW.

    What are you thinking?

First of all, I don't post here often, but do read because everyone here has so much information, so technically I'm a lurker! Second, over the last year or so, I've tried in vain to figure out a trip to WDW, just for two people. It's become almost impossible to do that for what I consider to...

Did you use the no expire option?

I have tickets in my wallet right now that I bought about 8 years ago. I buy them whenever I can, pay the extra and figure it's money well spent. I used to have a job where random, unexpected trips to Orlando could happen any time, and it was nice to be prepared.

    Tipping

Oh no!!!! Word problems first thing in the morning! :) This is very well stated...and yes, it does make sense...even if I don't do math in public.

    Peter pan's flight, question/theory.

I also think that there's a "charm" to it that may not be captured with some of the newer rides. It's a classic, that hasn't changed. Plus...unlike some of the other "old" rides, it's still there. Simple nostalgia for something I remember from my youth made me take my kids...and now my...

Military tickets at a sold out party?

I should also mention, I always have unexpired passes on me (never know when you'll get a random trip to Orlando), but sometimes I don't get there for several years, so they're usually old. When I bought my pass for MVMCP last year, what I got was a ticket vs. having a magic band. That got me...

Military tickets at a sold out party?

Last year for MVMCP I actually asked about military tickets and was told that military prices are only good for certain dates. IF they're available and your Dad can get them, he can get them at Shades of Green.

    Unexpired hoppers originally from 1995

Yes, you keep the newly issued cards, they do not turn them into magic bands. I always have Hoppers in my wallet because you never know when you might get a random trip to Orlando. Last December, they traded in the paper ones for plastic. In fact, I think that since I didn't use the magic...

    Prince proposal help!

I imagine that Disney's ban of adults in costume would make this a no-go. HOWEVER, if I was you, and she loves Disney that much, it may be worth investigating with their wedding consultants. Maybe surprise her with a small "wedding". Deployment gives you lots of time to plan....and BTW...

    Trying to make this work

I love to visit the MK during December and had been planning a week long visit. Unfortunately, I've had some very bad things happen to my house, which will make that impossible. So, since I never give up on a potential trip to WDW, I've cut the trip back to only two days of park time. It's...

Letting people into MVMCP at 3:45pm??

We ran into a very knowledgeable CM last week. There are/is a turnstile(s) that read ONLY the MVMCP data on the MagicPass. If you don't go through that specific turnstile, it will take a "regular" day off your pass.

    Random WDW phone number question

I think we should be glad they don't! I would rather pay for my call and my call only to Disney than for the bazillion 800 calls that would be made. Disney would just pass that cost on to us. 800 numbers are terribly expensive.

Which Never built park would you want?

Disney America was supposed to have been built MUCH farther north in VA than Williamsburg. Much closer to Manassas.

    Scuba Mickey

Thought this was an appropriate place for my first post...although I've been lurking for a while. I've actually been in the water participating in Dive Quest when Mickey did a dive. I sat on the bottom of the tank and watched as he got suited up (gotta love those zero surf days ) then...
