It may not be elaborate as some of the resorts during the holidays, but POFQ still has lovely decorations and I don't think it's any less festive than Animal Kingdom Lodge or Boardwalk. Especially if budget is a factor, I think it's worth it to keep your reservation at French Quarter! Hope you...

I love the Pop Century remodeled rooms (which aren't that recent anymore). I think they feel much more modern and clean! I also think the new Grand Floridian rooms look gorgeous and loved our Moana themed room at Poly when we stayed there.

Fantasmic! came back on my birthday last year and my group and I made it into the first showing the night it returned. The crowds were crazy, but the energy was amazing and it was great to experience the new scenes with no spoilers!

I still love Magic Kingdom at night, but I do think it has a different vibe than it used to when SpectroMagic was still running.

I totally relate to the fear of coasters! I do think Space Mountain is scarier than Thunder, but only because of the darkness and the shadows of the track from above feeling very close (even as someone who's short). I actually think Thunder is faster and the back row makes the drops feel bigger...

I've always loved Star Tours and I don't think that Smuggler's Run improved on that concept. I like going to planets I'm familiar with and seeing characters that I love, Smuggler's Run just doesn't deliver on that.

I haven't had the chance to stay at Contemporary yet, but I LOVED our stay at Grand Floridian and can't wait to go back. Also just when it comes to resort hopping, I've always loved spending time at Grand Floridian and end up there far more often than Contemporary.
