Never realized that. Since they come out with new point charts every year, I assumed that points changed. Learned something new!

Also, in the discussion of choosing a home resort, noone has really brought up the remaining time on contract. That is what kills BCV and BWV for me.

Thats what I thought, but it sounded like Maddog was saying you could basically "lock in" your point chart for your home resort. Just hoping he would clarify what he meant.

We love F&W and Beach Club is our favorite resort, but length of contract and price per point makes it not worth it. Leaning toward BLT, but price per point hurts.

Yeah, us too. My other thing is, Saratoga Springs seems like definitely the best "deal". Between price per point, length of contract and maint fees, it seems like a no-brainer. But I don't like the location of SS. How important is it really to own at the place you want to stay the most?

So do you get a membership card as a DVC member to get into special events and things? If so, is the resale members card the same as direct? And I don't know about the cruise, just something I had heard. Seems like there is a lot of unknown about all of this.

I'm sure this has been asked before, but I could not find it. We are considering buying resale and my wife has some questions. I know that resale points cannot be used to book certain things, but what are the other restrictions on resale? Can resale members use DVC discount on party tickets...
